Kawhaag pito sa Abril 1521
Tawarik ! Gubat sa panggubatan
Mga katsila giatake ang Mactan
Lapulapu! ang gingharian gipanalipdan;
Kinabuhi nangapagan,
Magellan! Nalukapa sa kaparutan.
Mayo uno! Sa kamandoan ni Rajah Humabon
Ang kanyaw sa kamatayon!
Gipangulohan ni Sarriparra sa baybayon
Gidani sa tinublehang pagkaon!
Naluya, nahubog, natumba sa tubâ!
Gibun-og, giduslak, gilubâ!
Nalisang, nangluspad mikaratil og dagan
Sa Galleon Victoria’ng dakung sakayan..
Mga banyagâ! Nasugamak sa kapildihan!
Sa salapi ang kaulawan? Dili kabayran.
Ilang kaparutan? Atong kadaugan.
Sugbo! Gikaintapan ug gikahadlokan

PRINCE SARRIPARRA MAY 1,1521 "THE MASSACRE"
CEBU! DREADED! FEARED!
(Shoreline Feast, a “Clock of Death”)
By Datu Sir Dr Warfe Tupas Engracia, SCODA KGOR MD “Ambassador of Goodwill” to the Malay World (Res No: 07-2786)
The battle of battles happened on April 27, 1521
In Datu Lapulapu’s kingdom in the island of Mactan
His people’s lives in rights he fiercely defended
In his hands Magellan’s precious life ended.
First of May, a huge feast was convened on Cebu’s coastline
Sarriparra, Rajah Humabon and the survivors came to dine
Unknowing of the poison served they didn’t decline
Amused, entertained and kept dizzy by coconut wine
Drunk, they were knifed and butchered like swine.
Shocked, frightened, the remaining ones ran in horror
Boarded the galleon Victoria shaking in utter terror
The invaders succumbing to such dismal defeat
In shame they sailed back to Spain in retreat.
Victory over a superior power made us feared
Grace from heaven, Cebu from then revered!
(The downfall of Magellan in the hands of Lapulapu on the 27th of April followed by the dreaded and feared “massacre” on the 1st day of May planned by Humabon and executed by Prince Sarriparra. The “Victorious defeat” that the Malay and the Cebuanos of the entire archipelago of Nusantara should be very proud of)
